Job Description

Summary 
The Director of Guest & Brand Experience manages and coordinates division-wide efforts in the areas of standard operating procedures and brand integrity to strengthen and evolve our brands’ value proposition: delivering exceptional experiences for guests and driving stakeholder value to support growth and profitability. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with executive leadership and property teams on the development and execution of brand programing and performance-driving initiatives, in alignment with the overarching portfolio strategy and corporate business objectives.  

This role is designed for a project management mindset combined with an operational background. While this role will create procedures behind the scenes, it is critical that the candidate has operational capabilities that can be leveraged at the property level. 

The budgeted salary range for this position is $170,000-$200,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience, all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions
•    Works closely with cross-functional partners to represent brand priorities and positioning, develop project plans for key strategies, and align key stakeholders to meet deadlines
•    In collaboration with the marketing, operations and brand teams, leads the integration of our brand and operational standards 
•    Partners with cross-functional experts to strategize ways to improve key performance metrics including overall guest satisfaction, net promoter score and intent to return
•    Contribute to the development of executive-ready deliverables that detail the drivers of operational performance and present business cases to strengthen the brand’s competitive position
•    Maintain operational brand integrity throughout the portfolio by documenting brand standard performance and auditing them throughout the portfolio
•    Acts as the operational standards champion for the organization, including development and presentation of the brand standards, how to maintain them, and implement them in openings and transitioned properties
•    Prepares and delivers professional and effective communications to convey operational standards strategy, standards initiatives, and standards performance to a variety of audiences
•    Promote overall culture of Aspen Hospitality within all disciplines
•    Analyze individual property quality Key Performance Indicators (KPI), including guest satisfaction scores and team members' engagement scores
•    Collaborate with property teams to create and execute appropriate action plans to achieve maximum scores
•    Analyze and propose strategic ROI initiatives to senior leadership
•    Oversee the development and implementation of a brand compliance program
•    Work closely with executive team to ensure compliance with brand standards and programs
•    In collaboration with the Director of Openings and Transitions, lead the implementation and training for the transition and opening of new hotels

Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
•    At least 7 years’ experience in required in operational standards and brand management, strategy, or management consulting, preferably for multi-unite hospitality company
•    Strong track record of success in translating organizational strategy to business plans and execution, including building business cases, gaining internal/external support, and directing results-oriented implementation
•    Strong business acumen; proven success in collaborating with business leaders across organizational lines to ensure a solutions-focused approach to supporting achievement of corporate business objectives
•    Excellent leadership skills; proven ability to collaborate and develop relationships with associates at all levels and to drive results in a team-oriented environment.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills can create clear messaging across various audiences
•    Proven strategic agility and ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
•    Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
•    Demonstrates key competencies to include Driving Results, Persuasion, and Ensuring Accountability

Additional Information

Supervision Given and Received  
Given: Exercises general supervision and collaboration with the corporate and hotel teams. A variety of routine tasks sets general expectations of results expected within the company’s policies and procedures.
Received: Works under supervision of the SVP of Operations and receives guidance in terms of broad goals and overall objectives and is responsible for establishing the methods to attain them.

Work Environment and Physical Demands  
•    Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements   
•    Ability to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance
•    Job may be performed indoors and outdoors with visits to construction sites
•    Frequent travel to jobsites is required
