Job Description

Summary 
The Breakfast/Pool Attendant set up, maintain, clear, clean up the daily breakfast and assist guests utilizing the Pool and facilities while maintaining cleanliness.

Job Posting Deadline
Applications for this position will be accepted until May 15, 2024 for the Summer 2024 Season.

Essential Job Functions
•   Set up breakfast each morning by 7:00am.
•   Ensure all F&B offerings are well stocked during breakfast hours: 7:00am – 10:00am.
•   Clean Owners Lounge and Breakfast area throughout breakfast service.
•   Bus all dirty dishes as guests leave their tables.
•   Sweep Owners Lounge during breakfast service as well as after breakfast has been taken down.
•   Wipe down all tables and the breakfast buffet area during breakfast service as well as after breakfast has been taken down.
•   Set up breakfast area for the daytime set up.
•   Clean all breakfast dishes and restock as necessary.
•   Clean Room Service kitchen at the end of breakfast.
•   Clean refrigerators as needed.
•   Report to work in a neatly groomed and acceptable manner as outlined in the Employee Resource Guide.
•   Must be available to work 2-3 split shifts per week.
•   Greet guest as they enter the Pool area, assist with connecting guest to In Room Dining for drinks and food service.
•   Restock all products in the facility: towels, robes, sunscreen, etc.
•   Ensure the cleanliness and order of the pool and hot tub area, clearing and resetting towels and chair covers when guests leave in readiness for the next guest.
•   Ensure towel bins are kept empty and dirty towels are taken to the laundry.
•   Be attentive to guests – converse, etc. Timed attention to guests using hot tub
•   Make sure children are adequately supervised by parents at the swimming pool.
•   Observe safety procedures at all times, anticipate potential hazards and advise guests.
•   Inform Engineering of any Pool and Hot tub related issues, temperature of the pool or hot tub, damage to the pool area etc.
 

Qualifications

•   High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
•   Excellent communication skills
•   High emotional intelligence 
•   Proficient in English
•   Some Spanish preferred
•   Life Guard/ First aid / CPR qualification preferred 

Additional Information

Supervision Given and Received
Given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Received: Works under direct supervision of Director of Housekeeping. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
•    Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time
•    Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
•    Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50).
