Job Description
The Ski & Snowboard School (S3) Administrative Coordinator oversees and manages all aspects of Pro payroll processing inside of the business unit. The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for auditing and developing/enhancement of payroll process, policy creation, training, and ensuring compliance with company payroll requirements. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, with experience in systems creation and management. This is an 8.5 month position based at Snowmass.
This role typically pays between $26.00 and $36.00 per hour. Actual pay will be dependent on experience.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage S3 payroll policies, procedures and operating practices ensuring operational efficiencies and payroll accuracy
- Manage, maintain, audit, and develop RTP payroll functions to confirm accuracy, efficiency and compliance with ASC payroll
- Analyze and resolve S3/Pro payroll and Parent Company discrepancies and inaccuracies in a timely manner
- Oversee the accuracy of bi-weekly pro payroll including auditing of divisions payroll, training, guest service, overtime and PTO
- Reconcile all Pro Data weekly in RTP, Kronos and HRIS software
- Maintain and process employee data records/data entry of divisional employees in HRIS, in compliance with HRIS policies
- Ensure compliance with ASC compensation policies and materials
- Create and execute policies and processes that verify pro certification and maintain accurate internal employee records that affect compensation or benefits in all relevant systems
- Work closely with HR/Benefits to stay current with employee benefit programs
- Audit/review historical payroll to ensure accuracy of pay and research, identify, and maintains variance records
- Audit and maintain accuracy in labor and revenue for affiliate programs
- Coordinate with management team on processes and policies that minimize payroll errors and records changes
- Serve as the point of contact for employee questions related to payroll and troubleshoot payroll related issues before sending to ASC payroll
- Support ASC accounts receivable for affiliated program billing
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 4 or more years of experience in the applicable domain in an organization comparable to Aspen Skiing Company (in terms of diversity, size, complexity, and scope of operation) required
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, RTP, Kronos experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills, capable of understanding and documenting business processes and functional requirements preferred

Supervision Given & Received
Supervision given: No supervisory responsibilities.
Supervision received: Works under general supervision of the Senior Finance & Revenue Manager. Receives continuing or individual assignments according to supervisor’s directions and may perform routine tasks. Expectations of the quality, quantity and deadlines are clearly set. Instructions, advice and assistance available as needed. Work is reviewed on demand or during scheduled check-ins.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
- May sometimes work in adverse conditions and requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements as well as an office environment and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
- Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
