Job Description

Essential Duties

  • Inventories all stock and general storeroom items and prepares purchase orders from inventory
  • Maintain a log of all purchase orders issued and the assigned vendors for both stock items and those issued to Division Heads for all purchases
  • File all receiving records
  • Responsible for perpetual inventories of all stock and general storeroom items
  • Responsible for handling all UPS and FedEx mail on a daily basis; packaging, paperwork preparation, receiving and distribution for hotel and guests
  • Prepare receiving records and responsibility for distribution of copies for all purchasing paperwork
  • Receiving of all items coming through the Loading Dock including inspection and researching of paperwork for all goods
  • Stores all goods received
  • Fills requisition for all storeroom items
  • Distributes invoices to Division Heads for signature and coding
  • Expedites back orders and late deliveries
  • Perform other duties as required by Management

Additional Job Duties

  • Make Manager aware of guest’s comments and complaints
  • Report to work in a neatly groomed and acceptable manner as outlined in the Employee Resource Guide
  • Report to work on time
  • Comply with all policies and procedures of the Limelight
  • Be familiar with hotel fire and safety procedures.  Assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by Management
  • Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business and staff levels demand.
  • Monitor trash, recycling and cooking oil bins. Call in if needed.
  • Assist F&B with EOM inventory
  • Bring up housekeeping linen carts to 3rd floor
  • Assist with meeting/banquet load-ins and move-outs

Qualifications

• Previous purchasing experience preferred

• Good skills with figures preferred

• Good communication skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

• Oracle Enterprise (JDE) experience helpful

Supervision given and received 
Given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 
Received: Works under direct supervision of the Director of Engineering. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.


Work Environment and physical demands 

  • Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, smell, taste, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces 
  • Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
