Company Description

Aspen Hospitality is the hospitality division of Aspen Skiing Company with a portfolio of owned and operated hotels and residences that currently consists of The Little Nell, Aspen’s only Five-Star, Five-Diamond, ski-in/ski-out hotel; and its affiliated Residences at The Little Nell, both of which are located at the base of Aspen Mountain; as well as the Limelight Hotel Aspen and Limelight Hotel Snowmass in Colorado; the Limelight Hotel Ketchum near Sun Valley in Idaho; the Limelight Hotel in Denver, and two additional Limelight Hotels in Mammoth, California, and Boulder, Colorado, are slated to open in 2024 and 2025, respectively. The company also owns and operates the ASPENX Mountain Club and the Snowmass Mountain Club.

Job Description

This position will report directly to the CEO of the hospitality division. Your main tasks will include performing detailed analysis, documenting processes, and preparing reports and presentations. To succeed in this role you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts in simplified terms.

Pay range is between $63,580 to $89,012.  All salaried exempt positions are eligible for bonus incentive.

Essential Job Functions

  • Analyzes data of an organization to spot trends and assess risks, which helps predict outcomes for business decisions, identify opportunities and make recommendations
  • Seeks out new market insights and business opportunities through research and analysis
  • Assists with core business development activities
  • Quantifies business intelligence with economic models to evaluate new opportunities
  • Presents findings clearly and makes recommendations for action
  • Studying industry-specific business trends and research data
  • Writing data-backed reports to support the CEO in taking strategic business decisions
  • Developing financial models that forecast business outcomes and profits
  • Prepares presentations for the CEO to deliver to the ownership group
  • Researches, reviews, and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
  • Assess options for process improvement, including business process modeling
  • Maintain documentation regarding various projects, processes and operations
  • Assists in conducting research to meet agreed upon requirements and to support efforts.
  • Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts for presentations.
  • Managing competing resources and priorities.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • B.S Degree in business or finance with two years of relevant job experience or an MBA degree.
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Expert skills in Excel and Powerpoint
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Additional Information

Supervision Given and Received
Supervision given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Supervision received: Works under general supervision of the CEO. Receives continuing or individual assignments according to supervisor’s directions and may perform routine tasks. Expectations of the quality, quantity and deadlines are clearly set. Instructions, advice and assistance available as needed. Work is reviewed on demand or during scheduled check-ins.

Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements  
No adverse or hazardous conditions 
Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
