Job Description

Summary  
The Salesforce Business Analyst works with cross-functional teams to support Aspen Skiing Company’s Salesforce application (Marketing, Sales and Service Cloud).  This role would include working with teams across the organization such as Marketing, Mountain Sales and Schools (ticket offices & call center sales), Ski & Snowboard Schools, Rental, Retail, and Food & Beverage to ensure the application is configured to suit the business needs.   

The budgeted salary range for this position is is $74,588- $104,423. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience, all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus. 

Essential Job Functions 

  • Serve as the primary Salesforce & Marketing Cloud administrator and collaborate with business stakeholders to enhance the platform 
  • Salesforce configuration and management of data structure, page layouts, record types, custom settings, reports & dashboards, forms, email templates, and workflows 
  • Marketing Cloud configuration and management of data structure, templates, journeys, automations, etc. 
  • Analyze, design, document and configure Salesforce Marketing and Service Cloud to meet business requirements and ensure alignment with other systems 
  • Responsible for daily maintenance, support and troubleshooting existing configurations  
  • Develop training material and educate users with recommended best practices to enhance and increase their knowledge of Salesforce Marketing and Service Cloud 
  • Own all aspects of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups for Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud 
  • Establish and implement best practices for system maintenance, configuration, development, testing, data integrity, etc. 
  • Follow and understand Salesforce’s latest product and technical capabilities and functionalities from new product releases, updates, events, and User Communities 
  • Perform QA controls and track system changes in system change log 
  • Participate in cross-functional teams that address strategic business issues involving CRM & Marketing Cloud and business operations, act in a consultative capacity to ensure Salesforce optimization 
  • Provide documentation and training for Help Desk staff, so that Help Desk staff may assist in tier 1 support of the salesforce 
  • Define requirements based on business needs, market and technology trends and then take these requirements and write crisp, clear, and concise specifications for proposed features to support development for required data flows 
  • Work across multiple groups: Marketing, Product Sales & Services, Rental-Retail, Ski & Snowboard School, Food & Beverage and IT to identify current operating procedures and deliver against business and system objectives 
  • Prepare documentation including requirements, design documentation, test cases and other documentation as required through the project lifecycle 
  • Configure and setup tables, facilitate day-to-day interaction with vendor and be responsible for developing and executing robust test plans 
  • Ensure issues uncovered during the testing cycle are prioritized, communicated and resolved in a timely manner to ensure implementation timelines are met 
  • Develop and deliver ad hoc user queries and reports 
  • Contribute and assist with other company/department projects and initiatives unrelated to Salesforce administration 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology or relevant industry experience considered 
  • 2+ years of hands-on requirements and design development in complex environments required  
  • Experience in working with various project methodology practices is required 
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator Certification and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator Certification preferred 
  • Preferred but not required: Service Cloud Consultant Certification, Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification, Platform App Builder Certification  
  • 3-5 years of Salesforce Administration as a sole administrator and a strong knowledge of Salesforce platform (Sales & Service Cloud) 
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform and an understanding of the Salesforce security model 
  • Hands on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, flows and other similar Salesforce development  
  • Hands on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Connector, Email Templates, Marketing Cloud testing, and HTML 
  • Configuration experience using the Salesforce point-and-click development interface 
  • Experience effectively managing multiple tasks and projects, with a demonstrated ability to identify and to communicate issues that may inhibit successful project completion 
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with cross-functional teams span business and technical sides of the organization  
  • Experience in creating test plans, executing test plans and providing feedback to development teams for issue resolution 
  • Specific functional expertise that includes one or more of the following is preferred: Food & Beverage, Rental-Retail, Product Sales & Services 
  • Experience working with matrixed teams and vendor partners, and experience working in the leisure, travel, tourism, ski resort, or hospitality industries preferred

Supervision given and received  
Supervision given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.  
Supervision received. Works under general supervision of the Director of Digital Technology. Receives continuing or individual assignments according to supervisor’s directions and may perform routine tasks. Expectations of the quality, quantity and deadlines are clearly set. Instructions, advice and assistance available as needed. Work is reviewed on demand or during scheduled check-ins. 

Work Environment and physical demands 
Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements  
No adverse or hazardous conditions 
Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
