Job Description

Summary 

The Sr. Marketing Director at ASPENX will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the entire brand's marketing strategy and driving results across all offerings—high-performance luxury product, retail, and experiences. This includes creating and implementing effective ecommerce marketing and merchandising campaigns, developing and managing relationships with key partners and influencers, and overseeing the brand's social media, paid media, email, events, and public relations efforts. This role will build and manage the marketing team consisting of digital marketing managers, coordinators, and identifying resource needs for the future. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring brand synergy with the Aspen Ski Company, as well as other partnerships to increase brand awareness and drive sales.  

This role is open to remote candidates who are based in the following states: CO, NY, GA, ID, CA, FL, CT, TX, HI, IL.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $117,656-$164,718. Actual pay will be dependent on budget, experience, and the candidate's state of residence.  All our salaried roles are eligible for bonus. 

Essential Job Functions        

  • Develop and implement ASPENX marketing channel strategy, effective ecommerce marketing, PR, and merchandising strategies to drive sales, retention, and increase brand awareness 
  • Develop and implement retention and marketing strategies across all channels (email, paid media, social, events, etc.) 
  • Responsible for brand strategy and creative direction and execution including photography, videography, campaigns, etc.  
  • Identify, partner, and work with external partners, including unique brands to develop high-heat collaborative product collections go-to-market campaigns. 
  • Collaborate with the Aspen Ski Company and other partners to develop cross-promotion strategies and ensure brand campaign synergy and increase brand visibility 
  • Analyze and measure marketing results, market trends, and consumer data and insights to inform marketing strategy and tactics 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners, influencers, and partners to increase brand exposure and drive sales 
  • Identify and lead all external marketing partnerships including marketing agencies, brand partnerships, etc. 
  • Lead marketing for wholesale and owned storefront expansion strategy to meet long-term financial goals 
  • Oversee the brand's public relations efforts to ensure a consistent brand message across all platforms 
  • Manage the brand's social media presence and create engaging content to increase followers, engagement, and conversion 
  • Create, track, and manage the brand's marketing budget 
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust as necessary 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field 
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in marketing, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role is required 
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce marketing, experiential marketing, and merchandising strategies 
  • Experience in fashion, experiences, retail, hospitality, ski, luxury, outdoor or sporting goods industry is a plus 
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills are required 
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform marketing decisions is required 
  • Experience with social media, public relations, and influencer marketing is required 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Supervision Given and Received     
Supervision Given: Exercises limited supervision over the marketing team, including digital marketing managers, coordinators, producer, etc. Assigns result driven projects and assists with unusual situations that do not have clear objectives. Instruction, advice and assistance are available at the request of the employee. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interviewing, hiring, performance evaluation; recognition; disciplinary action; training and development, budgeting, and labor relations.  
Supervision Received: Works under limited supervision of COO-ASPENX. Receives guidance in terms of broad goals and overall objectives and is responsible for establishing strategical methods to attain them. Can formulate policies but does not necessarily have final authority for approval. Review of work is not detailed and emphasizes accomplishment of broad work objectives, rather than specific assignments. 

Work Environment
Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, bend or be on your feet for extended periods of time   
Regularly work in wet, cold, hot conditions requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces 
Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
