Job Description

Summary  
The Inventory Control Analyst will be responsible for ASPENX inventory accuracy and rental product quality at store and in storage units.  The role is a store operations position for ASPENX with some assistance required at the warehouse including but not limited to, cycle counting, physical count, inventory past due, slow moving, and inventory adjustment processes. The Inventory Control Analyst has a strong attention to detail and collaborates closely with Warehouse Operations and Store Operations. 

The budgeted hourly pay rate range for this position is $27.47- $38.48. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience. 

Essential Job Functions 

  • Monitor and investigate as necessary all inventory movements of rental and retail inventory 
  • Receive merchandise transfer orders in all Hospitality retail locations including Aspen Mountain Club, Snowmass Mountain Club, The Little Nell Boutique and all Limelight locations
  • Collaborate with merchandising team, warehouse, and logistics to optimize inventory and manage instocks
  • Ensure premium, quality product and collaborations are in the right place, at the right time for our guests for our flagship store, ASPENX, on the Gondola Plaza, and all of ASC’s premium hotels and Clubs (The Little Nell, Limelight, ASPENX Mountain Club, Snowmass Mountain Club)
  • Responsible for merchandising and inventory receiving and instocks across all Aspen Hospitality luxury hotel boutiques and ASPENX
  • Assist the stores and warehouses with cycle count and physical counts for rental and retail, including training on best practices 
  • Audit cycle counts and physical counts 
  • Identify retail/rental store shrinkage occurrences and root cause issues by utilizing available tools (surveillance, system records, etc.) and report findings to the Retail Operations Manager 
  • Assist with warranty and damaged product resolution processes at the stores and warehouse 
  • Provide training to stores on inventory control best practices 
  • Assist in tracking KPI’s for key operational processes that will be monitored on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual basis based on departmental goals 
  • Work with Retail Operations Manager, ASPENX stores and warehouses to identify operational process areas that are suboptimal and assist in implementing corrective actions
  • Work in stores or the warehouse during busy holiday periods as needed 
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • Requires 2-4 years of store operations experience 
  • Warehouse operations experience a plus 
  • Ability to maintain strong working relationship with store operations 
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel 
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented

Supervision given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities 
Supervision received: Works under general supervision of the Retail Operations Manager. Receives continuing or individual assignments according to supervisor’s directions and may perform routine tasks. Expectations of the quality, quantity and deadlines are clearly set. Instructions, advice and assistance available as needed. Work is reviewed on demand or during scheduled check-ins 

Work Environment and physical demands 
Ability to stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time. Kneeling and bending may be required  
Regularly work indoors with no adverse conditions. Some positions require exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces    
Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance.
