Job Description
Summary
The Assistant Video Content Manager aids in the filming, production, and editing of all video content across multiple departments within the Aspen Snowmass structure, and is the right-hand to the Senior Video Content Manager. This position entails being both a producer, videographer, and editor for the creation of video and motion assets used in marketing materials, sales tools, internal assets, and more. As film and motion are core creative aspects of how we seek to bring our resort brand and experience to life, this role will help shape and execute Aspen Snowmass’ video marketing strategy—and overall brand strategy—from idea creation to market launch.
The starting point of the range is $57,769. Actual pay will be dependent on experience and qualifications, and all of our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist with planning, filming, and editing video shoots
- Collaborate with Senior Video Content Manager to create and deliver specs and final products to appropriate vendors, teams, etc.
- Work closely with content, creative, and digital teams to align on overarching content strategy, marketing plans and brand voice and messaging
- Collaborate with internal departments to represent their needs and initiatives, including revenue centers, PR team, sales team, sustainability team, etc.
- Build strong relationships with photographers, videographers, and athletes to collaborate on and collect timely content.
- Manage video requests for internal and external stakeholders with direction from Senior Video Content Manager.
- Curate and catalogue video archives and plan for future storage.
- Cover live events throughout the year, including some weekends and evenings.
- Continually stay ahead of the curve on best practices, with the latest technology and trends in the digital film/video space.
- Maintain and update YouTube page, including SEO best practices and growth of channel.
- Research and follow competitors and brands that are active with video on YouTube and social media and report on competitive landscape.
- Grow and maintain relationships with partners across all channels.

Qualifications
- 3+ years video production experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- High level of competency with multiple camera systems and edit software.
- Knowledge of both studio, on-location, and ENG video production equipment.
- High-level knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite with expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects
- Able to work quickly, strategically prioritize multiple projects, and manage individual and team workloads in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Advanced skiing/riding ability required. Comfortable in inclement weather situations
- Outdoor industry and/or ski resort experience preferred
- Experience with YouTube best practices and SEO preferred

Supervision Given and Received
Given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Received: Works under general supervision of the Video Director. Receives continuing or individual assignments according to supervisor’s directions and may perform routine tasks. Expectations of the quality, quantity and deadlines are clearly set. Instructions, advice and assistance available as needed. Work is reviewed on demand or during scheduled check-ins.

Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
No adverse or hazardous conditions
Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
