ASPENX is a contemporary retail and experience brand unveiled in December of 2021 by the Aspen Skiing Company. Conceptualized by artist and entrepreneur Paula Crown, ASPENX offers a menu of ski performance wear, unique collaborations, and custom experiences inspired by the technical excellence and thought leadership of Aspen. Bringing together the worlds of performance, innovation, and fashion, ASPENX has leveraged the expertise of Aspen Skiing Company’s world-class ski professionals to develop a line with equal emphasis on function and style. In addition to ASPENX, ASC operates the four ski resorts in the Aspen Snowmass area - Snowmass, Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk - as well as the Five Star, Five Diamond property The Little Nell, the Limelight Hotel properties which operate in Aspen, Ketchum Idaho and Snowmass. ASC also operates the rental & retail stores of Four Mountain Sports as well as the Award-winning Ski & Snowboard Schools of Aspen Snowmass.

The Barista takes guest orders and make coffee drinks using Lavazza recipes and standards at the base of Aspen Mountain in downtown Aspen. 

Essential Job Functions 

• Maintain the proper care and cleanliness of equipment. 
• Is responsible for station set-up, side work and station breakdown 
• Clean and restock station throughout shift
• Maintain positive communication with service and kitchen staff
• Display knowledge of all menu items
• Is knowledgeable of 5 star standards and adheres to them in every aspect of operations

Additional Job Duties

• Make Manager aware of guests’ comments and complaints.
• Comply with all policies and procedures for the ASPENX and the Aspen Skiing Company.
• Is familiar with fire and safety procedures. Assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by management.
• Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager 
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• 5-Star Customer Service experience required
• Basic knowledge of wine, food, and cooking methods
• Club Service experience preferred

Supervision Given and Received 
Supervision Given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 
Supervision Received: Works under direct supervision of the General Manager. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.

Work Environment and Physical Demands 
Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time
Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
