Favorite items are healthy, made-to-order stir-fry dishes from the wok station, fresh and inventive soups, pizzas, unique salads and delicious sandwiches .It’s all served in the Sundeck’s bright and warm setting, defined by 30-foot ceilings, a huge rock fireplace and a spacious patio to make the most of its beautiful views of 14,000-foot peaks.

Job Description

The Barista takes guest orders and make coffee drinks per the using Lavazza recipes and standards at the base of Aspen Mountain in downtown Aspen. 

Essential Job Functions 

  • Maintain the proper care and cleanliness of equipment. 
  • Is responsible for station set-up, side work and station breakdown 
  • Clean and restock station throughout shift
  • Maintain positive communication with guests, coworkers and kitchen staff
  • Display knowledge of all menu items
  • Is knowledgeable of 5 star standards and adheres to them in every aspect of operations
  • Make Manager aware of guests’ comments and complaints
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months to one year Barista experience required
  • 5-Star Customer Service experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of wine, food, and cooking methods
  • Club service experience preferred

Additional Information

Supervision Given and Received 
Supervision Given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 
Supervision Received: Works under direct supervision of the General Manager. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.

Work Environment and Physical Demands 
Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time
Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
