Job Description

The Field Merchandiser will work in collaboration with the Merchandise Manager on the execution of seasonal store merchandising plans as well as the creation and follow through of frequent store refreshes in all Four Mountain Sports stores throughout the Aspen-Snowmass area. This role will be responsible for execution of in-store merchandising, creative marketing, activations, and supporting buying and store operational teams to drive sales and create a compelling store environment. 

Essential Job Functions

•    Regularly visit Four Mountain Sports stores to direct and assist with merchandising and display in order to create an inspiring and dynamic visual experience for the customer. 
•    Responsible for the execution for seasonal floor sets through direct participation and by directing and enabling store staff  
•    Support buying and operational teams with inventory management by identifying products that need reallocation and taking appropriate action. 
•    Ensure in-store execution is in line with Four Mountain Sports and Aspen Skiing Company brand direction.
•    Source visual merchandising supplies (mannequins, hangers, props, and tools) for new and existing stores
•    Identify signage needs and collaborate with store operations, brand and marketing teams to execute
•    Maintain an asset tracking tool for all fixtures, tools, props, and signage
•    Ensure needed repairs and replacement of any store visual merchandising assets
•    Propose and source new fixtures and props that will enhance products
•    Train stores on visual merchandising and best practices. Assist in creating training and communication tools (training manual, newsletters, etc.).
•    Identify product opportunities and relay findings to the buyers.
•    Maintain a photo journal of all retail windows, displays and floorsets
•    Will be required to work in stores during peak times
•    Performs other duties as needed and as determined by the supervisor

Qualifications

•    Requires 2+ years of retail and/or merchandising experience, preferably within the Outdoor Industry
•    Ability to work independently while following established merchandising standards
•    Ability to maintain strong working relationship with store and warehouse operations
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel. Experience with NetSuite and/or RTP a plus.
•    Must be well organized and detail oriented
•    Must be able to travel from store to store throughout the Aspen-Snowmass area

A physical assessment (Work Ready) is required for certain positions.
Skiing or Snowboarding is required for certain winter positions.
