Job Description

The Senior Digital Product Manager - IT will have many responsibilities, including but not limited to business analysis, product ownership, and project management. As an integral member of the Digital Team, the Senior Digital Product Manager- IT will leverage user analytics and data sources to derive insights and will build consensus on project scope, write detailed requirements, negotiate solution design with stakeholders, provide quality assurance for current and ongoing projects, and provide ongoing support for the business stakeholders related to our Ecommerce platform. 

The budgeted salary midpoint for this position is $112,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience, all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus

Essential Job Functions    
•    Support Ecommerce strategy and roadmap by building an Ecommerce experience that ladders up to company KPIs, and delivers a custom experience across our family of brands.
•    Partner with the Digital Marketing Team to prioritize, plan, design, and execute an ambitious Ecommerce roadmap to change the way ski vacations are planned, purchased, and managed.
•    Act as Product Owner in a development environment, running sprint planning, standups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives for off-site development and design teams, always striving for efficiency and quality output.
•    Manage external development teams, coordinating budgets, contracts, project scope and roadmap scheduling.
•    Define and write requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for development teams based on guest needs, market and technology trends, keeping operational efficiencies in mind but never prioritizing over guest benefit/impact
•    Learn the details and nuances of ASC’s business, including channels, departments, product models, guest engagement strategies, loyalty programs, marketing plans, financial models, and ski industry complexities, and be able to bring an Ecommerce solution to market within this context.
•    Gain a deep understanding of our guest, their journey, and how digital touchpoints influence and shape both out- and in-resort experiences for them. 
•    Regularly track and analyze core user metrics in order to understand the user experience, and identify opportunities to make it better.
•    Leverage user testing to deliver an exceptional online experience that increases performance of the online sales channel.
•    Support design of all new features, putting user experience at the forefront of decision-making, supported by data wherever possible.
•    Work with engineering teams to estimate work, make smart trade-offs, define milestones and deliver outcomes
•    Manage development outcomes to ensure timing and delivery can meet business expectations, communicating effectively throughout.
•    Act as a subject-matter expert and source of knowledge and expertise in the products you serve. 
•    Be willing and able to understand and own the full Ecommerce ecosystem and customer journey, from concept to implementation.
•    Support Director, Digital Technology and growing Digital Team in defining the role of Product in a technical/digital setting, defining the products we support and managing the feature roadmap.


 

Qualifications

 •   8+ years of combined experience in Product Management, Digital Consulting, Project Management or Business Analyst role for a B2C tech product required.
•    3+ years in a role with a strong focus on building Ecommerce platforms and experiences for web and mobile required. 
•    Analytical mindset, mastery of leveraging user analytics and testing methodologies to inform a product roadmap is required.
•    Demonstrated ability to translate complex business problems in clear and concise requirements for modern web, mobile or ecommerce applications required.
•    Knowledge of Jira or other project management application is required. 
•    Experience managing vendors, including development and design firms is highly preferred, OR experience managing internal development teams required.
•    Familiarity with using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar, or equivalent tools for user research and behavior analysis is required.
•    At minimum a working knowledge of payment systems, gateways, etc. in an online environment is required.
•    Experience with open APIs and headless systems to create custom Ecommerce solutions is strongly preferred.
•    Past experience leading a team of direct reports strongly preferred.
•    Experience in Agile project methodologies strongly preferred.
•    Experience working with matrixed teams and vendor partners strongly preferred.
•    Experience with enterprise level web content management systems such as Sitecore is preferred.

Additional Information

Supervision Given and Received 
Supervision given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 
Supervision received: Works under direct supervision of the Director of Digital Technology. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.

Work Environment and Physical Demands 
Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements. No adverse or hazardous conditions. Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance.
