Job Description

Summary 
Is responsible for daily organization, operation and service levels of the dining room, bar and living room.  Ensures the physical upkeep and cleanliness of the Club and promotes positive member feedback. Encourages a good morale and ensures all staff members are treated with respect and fairness. Advises General Manager of any employee issues.
  
Essential Job Functions
•    Responsible for general operation of club facility on a day-to-day basis.
• Continually trains and supervises staff in accordance with established standards.
• Responsible for upkeep and cleanliness of facility daily.
• Records employees needs and responsibilities
• Ensures employees are punctual and in proper uniform daily
• Oversees the staff reconcile daily receipts and submits to accounting department daily.
• Oversees employee gratuities in logbook and submits to payroll for tax purposes.
• Reacts to member needs when requested and maintains guest satisfaction.
• Assists in maintaining and updating wine list. Retrieves and fills daily requisition for AMC bar and bottled wine.
• Maintains buffet in set-up and throughout service with proper signage, utensils and cleanliness.
• Ensures sufficient staffing levels based on volume levels.
• Assists in set up and execution of club events
• Reports maintenance and inventory needs to GM as needed.
• Enforces standards, procedures and policies in accordance with established standards. Ensures stations are set properly according to standard.
• Conducts daily meeting prior to service covering reservations, specials and procedures reviews.
• Communicates with club chef regarding quality, timing, presentation and member feedback. Coordinates daily specials and menu changes with chef and makes alterations in micros.
• Maintains par levels by filling properly submitted requisitions daily prior to service.
• Supervisory responsibility including but not limited to: progressive discipline, performance evaluation and termination. (to confer with GM)
• Ensures facility is secure and properly set at days end.
 
Additional Job Duties
• Makes General Manager aware of guest’s comments and complaints.
• Report to work in a neatly groomed and acceptable manner as established in grooming standards.
• Participates in reconciling of inventories.
• Report to shift on time.
• Is familiar with facility fire and safety procedures. Assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by superiors.
• Complete tasks and projects delegated by General Manager and assists other departments as business volumes and staff levels demand.

The budgeted salary range for this position starts at $63,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience, all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Qualifications

• College Degree Preferred or Hotel and Restaurant Training
• 2 Years experience in fine dining establishment
• Wine knowledge
• Knowledge of food and cooking methods
• Ability to work well with people and promote growth
• Strong organizational and supervisory skills
 

Additional Information

Supervision given and received 
Given:  Exercises direct supervision over Restaurant Staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, frequent and detailed review of work, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Received: Works under direct supervision of Restaurant Manager. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.

Work Environment and physical demands 
•    Ability to be on your feet, kneel and bend for extended periods of time 
•    Regularly work in adverse conditions and requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements as well as an office environment and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
•    Must be able to lift, push or pull occasionally up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
