Job Description

The General Manager of Fine Dining will oversee the fine dining locations of the ski resorts. The leader will have oversight of the catering and banquet division and will guide both segments of the business to success. This role oversees and coordinates planning, organization and training as well as provides leadership in sales, cost management, guest service, food quality, sanitation, safety & environmental sensitivity in all facets of the operation.

This role typically pays around $97,500. Actual pay will depend on budget and experience. All salaried roles are eligible for bonuses.

•    Develop annual budgets, execute & forecast results
•    Monitor & adjust to market trends in driving revenue, delivering food & bar costs & gross margins.
•    Network & develop positive business & community relations
•    Support company culture & demonstrate through leadership of teams
•    Hire & Develop employees that will deliver distinctive guest experiences
•    Ensure competencies & performance expectations are clear and met
•    Provide training & coaching to ensure established guidelines & standards are compliant
•    Manage annual maintenance, propose future capital projects, manage approved capital projects
•    Support company environmental & energy initiatives
•    Contribute to the team strategically, propose efficiencies, establish policy
•    Assist in developing menus & propose pricing
•    Envision , develop & market existing & future restaurant brands
•    Must qualify to be the Manager on record for the Liquor License

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree preferred
•    10 years’ experience in Restaurant Management (Full Service and High volume Cafeteria/ Food Court style) required
•    3 years’ experience in Restaurant Management of a Multi-Unit Operation required
•    Extensive Food & Wine knowledge required
•    Familiar with Infogenesis POS preferred
•    Competent with Microsoft Office preferred
•    T.I.P.S certification
•    Serve Safe certification
•    Ski/Snowboarding experience required

Additional Information

Supervision Given and Received  
Exercises direct supervision over the Restaurant Staff and Managers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, frequent and detailed review of work, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Works under limited supervision of the Vice President of Food & Beverage. Receives guidance in terms of broad goals and overall objectives and is responsible for establishing strategical methods to attain them. Can formulate policies but does not necessarily have final authority for approval. Review of work is not detailed and emphasizes accomplishment of broad work objectives, rather than specific assignments. 
 
Work Environment and Physical Demands  
Ability to be on your feet, kneel and bend for extended periods of time  
Regularly work in adverse conditions and requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements as well as an office environment and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces 
Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance.
 
Certain locations will require an employee to ski or snowboard.
