Job Description

Summary

Guides and provides information about area with guests on local 4X4 roads. Responsible for guest safety and service through vehicle prep, transportation, equipment and supplies using The Little Nell vehicles. Provides knowledgeable, interpretive commentary of the land, the environment and the history. Guides must enjoy spending time with multiple guests in multiple environmental conditions. 

Essential Functions of the Job
•    Conducts guided off-road adventure trips, complete with fine food & beverage
•    Prepares, fuels, and cleans assigned vehicle and equipment to 5-star standards
•    Serves food and wine to our guests in a natural outdoors setting
•    Specific knowledge of the Roaring Fork area history and wildlife
•    Ensures safety of guests and vessels, as well as a great guest experience
•    Current CPR and First Aid Certification

Qualifications

•    Ability to drive off road vehicles in rocky and variable terrain
•    Excellent communication skills and polished verbiage; to entertain and inform
•    Comfortable with F&B serving in an intimate environment
•    Knowledge of local area 
•    Knowledge of safety, emergency and lifesaving procedures
•    Knowledge of weather patterns, conducts pre-trip outreach and discussions with guests to ensure appropriate clothing and preparation 
•    Knowledge of company policies and procedures
•    Clear driving record

Additional Information

Supervision given and received 
Given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 
Received: Works under direct supervision of the Lead Adventure Concierge and the Director Guest Services. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.

Work Environment and physical demands 
•    Ability to be on your feet, kneel and bend for extended periods of time 
•    Regularly work in adverse conditions and requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements as well as an office environment and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
•    Must be able to lift, push or pull occasionally up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
