Job Description

The Bike School Pro -To teach Mountain Biking (Downhill and cross-country/bike handling skills) to individuals or groups of all ability levels, including children. Extensive training provided for all candidates.

Essential Job Functions•    Work together with fellow coaches to organize classes and students according to individual physical abilities.
•    Teach and demonstrate bike skills and bike handling skills to a class in a safe environment.  
•    Lead a group of people on bikes on designated trails on and off the mountain.  
•    Must have Downhill Bike experience. Must be able to work with fellow employees and on own with group of students.
•    Safety is a key responsibility and must exercise effective decision-making skills, including risk management. 
•    Complete required training as scheduled each season

Qualifications

•    Advanced Downhill Bike Rider. Skills will be tested and accessed.
•    Bike certification preferred (PMBIA or ICP). PMBIA preferred. 
•    Ski / Snowboard PSIA certified instructor preferred.

•    Past Snow Bike, Ski, Snowboard, or Downhill Bike documented teaching experience. 
•    3 years of full time documented coaching/teaching experience with adults or children.

A physical assessment (Work Ready) is required for certain positions.
Skiing or Snowboarding is required for certain winter positions.
