Summary 

Keep our mountains safe and secure this year in our new role as a Doorman! This position starts at a rate of $18/hr. 

The Doorman provides security services to our on mountain restaurants & serves as the contact person for matters involving COVID protocols & precautions. This role is critical to our company ensuring the overall protection of our employees and guests. This position is tasked with providing a warm and friendly welcome as it is the first impression in our restaurants.  

Essential Job Functions
•    Must be aware of all entrances to the restaurant and position appropriately to control flow.
•    Must greet guests warmly and provide guidance to the restaurants operations.
•    Maintains crowd level under a certain room capacity. 
•    Responsible for coordinating restaurant guest flow.
•    Must be able to work with and lead a team of employees tasked with ensuring proper flow of the restaurant.
•    Ensures restaurant capacity requirements are met.
•    Capable of interacting well with the guests and residents in a positive, friendly attitude, while taking an active interest in their movements throughout the restaurant and within the vicinity. 
•    Responds to emergency situations. 
•    Is knowledgeable and can answer questions about the vicinity and restaurant. 
•    Must always greet guests appropriately upon arrival in a warm and friendly manner.
•    Provides professional and guest focused service to all guests that enter the restaurant.  
•    Responsible for rounding up & escorting guests at closing or expiration of allotted time limit in the restaurant. 
•    Escalates any major violations to the Manager or General Manager. 
 

Qualifications

•    Must be over the age of 18
•    Must be able to read and write to facilitate COVID guidelines and the process. 
•    Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
•    High School Diploma or GED Preferred. 
•    Previous doorman or security guard experience preferred.

Supervision Given and Received 
Supervision Given:  
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Supervision Received: Works under minimal supervision of the General Restaurant Manager.  Receives guidance in terms of broad goals and overall objectives and is responsible for establishing the methods to attain them.

Work Environment and physical demands 
•    Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, bend or be on your feet for extended periods of time 
•    Regularly work in wet, cold, hot conditions requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
•    Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
