Job Description

Position Summary
The Ski Concierge will clean, store, retrieve and distribute member ski equipment in an efficient and courteous manner. They will provide the maximum assistance with respect to all ski-related services.  They will engage members and their guests proactively ensuring a positive memorable experience with every interaction. 
Service Standards
Eye contact should be made at a distance of no less than 10 feet from every member/guest.
A genuine smile should be offered at a distance of no less than 5 feet from every member/guest.
Employees should build rapport with members/guests and their guests during any conversation, if the member/guest responds to the initial statement with a conversational demeanor.
Member last name is used effectively, but discreetly, as a signal of recognition as least once and not more than twice during any conversation with members.
Before concluding conversations, the member/guest is verbally offered additional assistance with a statement relevant to the member’s/guest’s individual needs.
Essential Functions of the Job
Clean, Store, and retrieve ski equipment for members.
Ensure proper tagging and systematic storage of all member/guest ski equipment.
Manage the distribution and retrieval of ski equipment for members in the Club equipment valet lounge and storage area as well as at Elk Camp Gondola and the Village Express designated distribution points.
Follow and complete checklist for morning Ski Concierge.
Responsible for overseeing member/guest ski equipment when brought into ski back valet lounge area.
Intimate knowledge of Snowmass Mountain and daily ski conditions.
Keep the Ski Back Valet Lounge area neat and clean at all times.
Remove snow from ski back terrace and entrance and keep this area clean and tidy at all time. 
Clean Ski Concierge area at the end of each shift following closing procedures.
Assist with any problems that may arise.
Maintain a good working relationship with all Club staff as well as Limelight Hotel team members, and staff of the Aspen Skiing Company.

 

Qualifications

Education, License/Certifications & Skills 
College degree preferred.
Ability to multi task and prioritize.
Competent with computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
Language Skills 
Excellent written and spoken English.
Experience 
Prior guest service experience is required.
 

Additional Information

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements 
Indoors v Outdoors – Indoors 50% of the time, Outdoors 50% of the time.
Standing v Sitting - Standing 100% of the time
Work Environment - Working as part of a team; working AM, PM shifts. Working weekends and holidays. Overtime may be required due to business needs.
Working in all weather conditions.
Physical Requirements – Ability to push/pull & carry ski/board equipment and other items up to 50lbs.
Constant reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing and seeing (near, far, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision). Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching.

Education, License/Certifications & Skills 
High School diploma or equivalent.
