Job Description

Position Summary & Objective

Welcome members and their guests to the club and ensure their daily experience is nothing but positive while encompassing the highest level of service.  In addition, we as a team will establish a welcoming and fun atmosphere that will bond relationships amongst members and staff.  We will be active with numerous club and ski storage responsibilities ensuring confidence in members  that there is no other place they would want to be.  

Service Standards 
Eye contact should be made at a distance of no less than 10 feet from every guest.
A genuine smile should be offered at a distance of no less than 5 feet from every guest.
Employees should build rapport with member/guests during any conversation, if the member/guest responds to the initial statement with a conversational demeanor.
Member/guest last name is used effectively, but discreetly, as a signal of recognition as least once and not more than twice during any conversation.
Before concluding conversations, the member/guest is verbally offered additional assistance with a statement relevant to the member/guest’s individual needs.

Essential Functions of the Job
Proactively engage and interact with all members and guests in a positive and upbeat fashion at all times (C.P.M.E. Create Positive Memorable Experiences)
Organize and manage all member/guest ski/board equipment to proper launch points.
Ensure all member/guest equipment is cleaned, stored properly and accounted for at the end of every shift.
Maintain constant communication with all club team members regarding member/guest needs. 
Actively participate in the maintenance and cleanliness of the ski back trail club entrance and ski valet lounge and storage areas.
Assist in our F and B morning and apres operations.  
Communicate any member/guest equipment issues or concerns to club management immediately.
Monitor club communication tools relating to member arrival times and launch points, ensuring that the proper equipment is delivered in a timely fashion to all launch points.
Familiarize guests with Snowmass points of interest and Club, mountain, and hotel facilities.
Know about all daily (and upcoming) club programming, functions, locations, and times for appropriate member information.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
Constantly roam the locker rooms to assist members and guests as there are multiple entry points to the club
Assist members with boots when needed 
Forward accident reports immediately to the Club Manager.
Perform regular property walks to maintain a clean perimeter of the property.
Assist other departments as needed.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized club and ski/board storage area at all times.  
When attending launch point stations ensure your demeanor and genuine proactive engagement with members and all resort guests exemplifies the Aspen Way.  
Manage member/guest gear transfers to/from other mountains, coordinate member gear tuning and maintenance with 4MS team. 
Maintain a clean and welcoming ski lounge/lobby in conjunction with the LLS ski valet team ensuring all who enter (regardless of their affiliation with club or hotel) are actively and positively engaged and welcomed into the facility.  Assist with Valet parking operations when necessary, provide any assistance to make the members time in the clubhouse memorable and enjoyable, as well as assist other departments as needed. 
Responsible for maintaining an immaculate, welcoming, and comfortable environment for all who enter at all times.  
 

Qualifications

Additional Job Duties 
Ensure that your Manager is aware of guest comments and concerns. 
Report to shift on time.
Treat others as they would expect to be treated.  
Comply with all policies and procedures for the Guest Services Department, Mountain Club at Snowmass, and Aspen Skiing Company.
Be familiar with Club and hotel fire and safety procedures. Assist in the event of an emergency and/or security event as directed by management.
Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demand.
 

Additional Information

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements 
Indoors v Outdoors – Indoors 50% of the time, Outdoors 50% of the time.
Standing v Sitting - Standing 100% of the time
Work Environment - Working as part of a team; working AM, PM shifts. Working weekends and holidays. Overtime may be required due to business needs.
Working in all weather conditions.
Physical Requirements – Ability to push/pull & carry ski/board equipment and other items up to 50lbs.
Constant reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing and seeing (near, far, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision). Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching.

Education, License/Certifications & Skills 
High School diploma or equivalent.
