Job Description

Position Summary
Manage the day to day retail operation for The Little Nell retail outlets to include the Boutique, Adventure Shop, and Health Center, Limelight Hotels, Aspen and Snowmass Mountain Clubs, and future hotels. Work with ownership and owner assistants as co-buyer for all aforementioned retail outlets.  Work closely with Aspen Skiing Company rental retail division to develop synergies. Foster a “5 Star” environment, attitude, and staff culture. Be the leading force in achieving profitability and revenue goals. 

Essential Functions of the Job
•    Responsible for the hiring, training, mentoring and discipline of Hospitality retail employees
•    Train retail staff on product knowledge, cross selling/upselling techiques and relationship extension. 
•    Train and supervise employees in job duties, department standards, and store policies and procedures
•    Set performance goals for staff members, and conduct bi-annual performance appraisals.  
•    Works consistent hours in The Little Nell retail boutique and visits other properties as needed. 
•    Research and anticipate sales and fashion trends 
•    Keep meticulous records of customer buying trends, customer inquiries, and propose innovative product ideas to increase business and create customer engagement. 
•    Build operating budget and execute 
•    Maintain accurate inventory counts and prevent loss.
•    Ensure compliance with departmental merchandising and delivery standards
•    Ensure Brand alignment across all platfoms
•    Guidance on retail brand across all venues 
•    Maintain exceptional store condition and visual merchandising standards to include store displays, signage, lighting, and fixtures, inventory ordering and replenishment
•    Manage all customer special requests, comments and concerns
•    Develop best practices and standard operating procedures.
•    Complete payroll for retail staff and associated administrative duties. 
•    Work a flexible schedule, mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays
•    Promote and ensure a safe work environment
•    Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Additional Job Duties
•    Knowledge of luxury retail 
•    High proficiency with Point of Sale or similar computer software experience required
Excellent guest service skills and ability to work in a team environment required
•    Knowledge of other languages helpful
 

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Skills
•    College Degree preferred
•    Customer service and sales experience required
•    Previous experience managing or supervising employees required
•    Previous experience in luxury hotel or resort preferred
•    Previous luxury buying experience preferred

Physical Requirements of the position include
•    Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
•    Must be able to stand for 8+ hours a day
