Job Description
The Cybersecurity Manager shall function as both a technical security manager and an analytical security manager. The Cybersecurity Manager manages and oversees IT operational security to include security systems and tools and incident response. The Cybersecurity Manager also manages and oversees analytical aspects of IT security to include audit response, control documentation and implementation and compliance with Federal cybersecurity regulations. Furthermore, this position will perform the following duties: (1) Manage the IT security operations or the IT analytical security requirements of a complex IT environment; and (2) Perform quality oral and written communication relevant to IT security operations or the IT analytical security requirements of a complex IT environment. This is a Senior Level Position.
It is required that the Cybersecurity Manager have the following certifications:
1. Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification
2. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certifications
3. ITIL® Foundation or Practitioner v.4 certifications and the DevSecOps FoundationSM certification from the DevOps Institute.
Qualifications
Knowledge/skills:
It is STRONGLY PREFERRED that the Cybersecurity Manager have the following qualifications:
1. Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Security+.
2. Minimum of 15 years’ experience, of progressively greater authority and responsibility, in the cybersecurity field with at least five (5) years Federal experience, as either a contractor or Federal employee.
3. Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in a relevant IT cybersecurity discipline.
4. Demonstrated experience managing the IT security operations or the IT analytical security requirements of a broad and complex IT environment of similar size and scope.
5. Demonstrated ability for quality oral and written communication relevant to IT security operations or the IT analytical security requirements of a broad and complex IT environment of similar size and scope.
