Network Engineer for Ashburn Consulting, LLC to report to our Leesburg, VA HQ loc. but working at multiple unanticipated locs in USA. May telecommute up to 2 days per week and more frequently as necessary.

• Implement & manage Network Infrastructure for WAN Backbone & Edge sites.
• Perform Router, Switch & Firewall upgrades to customer edge sites & Data Centers.
• Provide technical support & escalation support to Gov’t Network Team.
• Work w/ a team to support operational needs of organization & ensure services to the enterprise network are not impacted.
• Provide on-call support for Network & Security Operations.
• Troubleshoot Network issues/solutions to support communications needs of client.
• Perform routine (daily or weekly) preventative maintenance to proactively resolve network equipment issues before they arise.
• Occasional evening & weekend hours may be req’d. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• May undergo background checks.
• Salary: $120,000 to $130,000.

• Must have Bachelors in Comp Sci, related Engineering, or other related field.
•  3 years relevant exp in Network Engineering or Network Administration; and required skills.
• Requires skills (3 years exp) in: Cisco router and switch; network routing protocols, IP addressing and network infrastructure and network hardware; Implement new/troubleshoot connectivity issues for network equipment to provide reliable connectivity for servers/applications; network operating systems; Visio for network diagramming.
