Job Description

Ashburn Consulting is looking for a highly motivated Sr. AWS Cloud Architect to help accelerate customer adoption. As a Cloud Architect you will work directly with customers. As an experienced technologist and key member of the Account team you will help influence customers' architectural choices across broad use cases involving security, compute, storage networking as well as advanced scenarios involving serverless, analytics, and AI/ML. As a part of the role, you will provide exceptional technical design guidance and thought leadership. You will lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge. You will also gain the opportunity to learn from, collaborate with, and educate some of your colleague at the company. Key job responsibilities:

· Provide architectural guidance and recommendations on running applications efficiently and reliably on AWS platform.

· Demonstrated communication skills and ability to convey complex ideas to a non-technical audience with an ability to connect technology with measurable business value.

· Participate in deep architectural discussions and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on AWS while crafting solutions that are designed for deployment in the cloud.

· Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as blogs, white papers, and proof of concepts.

· Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS.

· In partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute strategies to achieve business outcomes through the adoption of the AWS platform.

· Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.

You will have the opportunity to work inside our enterprise account team architects to help Enterprise customers accelerate their cloud implementation to modernize their business on AWS. Working with these customers, you will help them transform existing workloads by designing modern target architectures optimized for business agility, innovation, performance, resiliency, cost, security, and more using both native and partner solutions. Our teams focus on understanding customer key business drivers as well as the existing application architecture(s) to deliver a technical recommendation to the customer with a goal of designing a robust cloud architecture that can scale as their business requires.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

· 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

· 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience architecting or deploying Cloud/Virtualization solutions in enterprise customers - Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies - High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
