Job Description

The purpose of this key position for someone who possesses IT expertise, knowledge, skills, abilities, certifications, and the professional resources is to assist the Cybersecurity Information Security Officer (CISO) in overseeing the day-to-day operations as a member of the Office of Information Technology Cyber Security Division. The ideal candidate will have the minimum qualifications, certifications, strong technical background, broad knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, and hands-on experience with industry tools and technologies. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Develop procedures, SOP’s, and protocols for cybersecurity and compliance related issues.  

• Develop and implement cyber security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect the client’s information systems and assets. 

• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, and security audits to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.  

• Monitor and respond to security incidents, conduct investigations, and coordinate incident response efforts across relevant departments.  

• Provide guidance and recommendations to enhance the organization's security posture.  

• Stay up to date with the latest cyber security threats, trends, and technologies.  

• Collaborate with IT teams and system administrators to design and implement secure network architectures, infrastructure, and applications.  

• Configure, manage, and monitor security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM solutions, and endpoint security platforms.  

• Conduct security reviews of third-party vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with security requirements and industry best practices.  

• Participate in the creation and maintenance of disaster recovery, business continuity plans, cyber incident plans, cyber COOP plans, and other NIST compliance requirements.  • As a SME expert, provide technical guidance and mentorship through CISO to team members and may serve as team lead for cybersecurity project and incident management.  • Develop cyber security measurements.  

• Advise management on cyber matters, as required.  

• Assist, develop, and implement zero trust and cyber resilience programs. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience for a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GCIH, GCTI, GSOC, CEH,) are highly desirable.  

• Proven experience of eight(8+) years, in cybersecurity operations, including experience managing professional teams.  

• Extensive knowledge of cyber security principles, best practices, and industry standards.  

• Experience with a wide range of security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, DLP, vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing tools.  

• Experience with incident response, endpoint security, and threat intelligence.  

• Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and frameworks (e.g., GDPR, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).  

• Proven ability to analyze complex problems, identify security risks, and develop effective solutions.  

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.  

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.  

• Must have demonstrable good judgement and integrity. 

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

Additional Information

Must pass a background investigation.

Must be able to work in a team environment with client team members.

Position requires a minimum of 2 days per week onsite work.
