Job Description

Candidate will provide professional network engineering services including discovery, design, integration planning, deployment, operational and troubleshooting of the multi-jurisdictional enterprise network.  This individual will be working with a team to support mission critical applications while ensuring that the network backbone services to the multi-jurisdictional enterprise network are not impacted.  The individual must be able to work under pressure and be able to prioritize demand, based on outage impact or project impact to the client.  This is a hands-on engineering position that will support all critical areas on the multi-jurisdictional enterprise network to include the following:  MPLS L3PN backbone, data centers, Internet edge and DMZs, Cloud connectivity, etc.

Qualifications

·         A minimum of 10+ years of experience in the IT Network Engineer Field.

·         A strong understanding of data communications required.   Experience with MPLS and DWDM required. 

·         Proficient with Cisco routers and switches required on the following OS’s:  IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS

·         Strong knowledge of the following protocols:  BGP, MP-iBGP, MPLS, VRFs, VXLAN, OSPF

·         Experience with Cisco & Palo Alto Firewalls, F5 load-balancers, SolarWinds, VPN and Cloud connectivity preferred.

·         Strong communication skills, and the ability to communicate difficult concepts and the associated security challenges and provide solutions to mitigate them.

Additional Information

Cisco Certifications a plus:  CCIE or CCNP level

Must be able to pass a background clearance investigation

Minimum 4 year college degree in related field, or related experience

Consulting experience is preferred

Must have a U.S. Citizenship.

Partial remote work. Onsite work determined on an as-needed basis by client.
