Job Description

Senior Network Engineer will provide professional network engineering services including discovery, design, integration planning, deployment and troubleshooting of the client’s enterprise network.  This individual will be working with a team to support operations and ensure the services to the enterprise network are not impacted.   The individual will need to communicate solutions to leadership and be able to explain the pros and cons of a given solution from a technical and business aspect.   The individual must be able to work under pressure and be able to prioritize demand, based on outage impact or project impact to the client.  This is a hands-on engineering position that will support all critical areas on the enterprise network include the switching, BGP, OSPF, MPLS L3PN backbone, data centers, Internet edge and DMZs, SDWAN, Cisco ACI, F5, Cloud connectivity, etc.  Palo Alto Firewall experience a plus.

Qualifications

A minimum of 8+ years of experience in the IT Network Engineer Field. 

A strong understanding of data communications required.   Experience with MPLS, SDWAN, Cisco ACI, and F5 required.

Proficient with Cisco routers and switching including: IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS

Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF).

Experience with Cisco & Palo Alto Firewalls, F5 load-balancers, SolarWinds, VPN and Cloud connectivity preferred.

Strong communication skills, and the ability to communicate difficult concepts and the associated security challenges and provide solutions to mitigate them.

Must have Visio experience and ability to discover and document As-built network diagrams.

 

 

Additional Information

Must be able to pass a background clearance investigation

Consulting experience is preferred
