Job Description

Wireless Engineer will provide professional wireless network engineering services including design, integration planning, deployment and troubleshooting of the client’s enterprise wireless network.  This individual will be working with a team to support the design and operations and ensure enterprise wireless network services are not impacted.   The individual will need to communicate the wireless design and its benefits to leadership and be able to explain the pros and cons of a given solution from a technical and business aspect.   The individual must be able to work under pressure and be able to prioritize demand, based on outage impact or project impact to the client.  This is a hands-on engineering position that will support all fields and central areas of the enterprise network include the 802.X, VoIP, Networking Technologies, Routing Protocols, RADIUS, DNS, etc.

Qualifications

A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Wireless Engineering. 

A strong understanding of data communications required.   Experience with Aruba wireless solution required.

Proficient with Aruba Wireless solutions. Familiar with Aruba 3600's and 7240s.

Cisco ISE and ASA Firewall experience desired. 

Working knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF).

Strong communication skills, and the ability to communicate difficult concepts and the associated security challenges and provide solutions to mitigate them.

Must have Visio experience and ability to discover and document As-built network diagrams.

 

 

Additional Information

Must be able to pass a background clearance.

Minimum 4 year college degree in related field, or related experience

Consulting experience is desired

Able to work alone and travel around the DMV areas to support field sites. 

Must have a U.S. Citizenship.
