FULL-TIME OPPORTUNITY, Hours vary between 8 am & 6:30 M-F, Saturday mornings
Compensation: Starting at $17 per hour, depending on experience.
Job Description
- Under the supervision of a pharmacist, and in accordance with State and Federal Laws, fills prescriptions for and assists with daily fills as directed.
- Effectively operates the Pharmacy computer system to ensure timely and accurate prescription documentation and billing.
- Orders supplies and prescription medications under the direction of the Pharmacist.
- Maintains pharmacy Pyxis system, restocks outdates, restocks meds on a daily basis.
- Answer call center phones, call insurance companies, enter prescriptions into the pharmacy system, fulfill prescriptions into packaging and stage for delivery.
- Accurately maintains inventory and assists with yearly pharmacy inventory.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or its equivalent and registration through the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy.
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician/data entry technician with good working knowledge of reviewing and entering prescription orders preferred.
- Proficient computer skills necessary for data entry, reporting, including documentation and billing. An ideal candidate would have experience with PrimeCare/QS1 Pharmacy operations system and have some exposure to Pharmacy Automation (ie. TCGRx)
- Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
