Schedule and Compensation
- Full Time, 40 hours weekly
- 8am - 4:30pm, on call every other weekend
- Pay Range: $38 to $43.26 hourly
Job Description
At Asbury, our long-term care dietitians support residents' well-being by creating personalized meal plans, promoting healthy eating, and aiding recovery from illness or injury. They assess nutritional needs, develop medical nutrition therapies, collaborate with the care team, and provide nutrition education to residents, families, and staff.
- Participates as an active member of the interdisciplinary team, determining the nutrition and dietary goals of participants' care plans and monitoring progress toward those goals.
- Develop and implement medical nutrition therapy following best practices and standards of care.
- Educate residents and families on nutrition to support overall health and well-being.
- Assess residents’ nutritional needs and tailor recommendations accordingly.
- Develop meal plans that reflect residents’ preferences, needs, and budgets.
- Offer guidance on healthy eating habits and nutrition-related concerns.
- Support recovery by creating nutrition plans for residents healing from illness or injury.
Qualifications
- Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
- For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
- At least one (1) year of experience working with older adults, required
