Hours and Compensation
- Full Time, 40 hours weekly
- Varied shifts (morning and afternoons)
- Enjoy working no late nights and having off every other weekend/every other holiday
- Pay: $22 - $28/hour
Job Description
- Assists Executive Chef in training new associates and mentoring all production associates including cooks and utility workers. Answers, advises, or asks questions, and solves problems presented by other production associates.
- Quality checks all completed production; tastes all menu items, ensuring that they meet standards for appearance, texture, taste, temperature, and overall quality. Ensures all puree meals are served at the appropriate consistency.
- Assists with all food production. Follows all recipes accurately and communicates with the Executive Chef regularly with missing items or inaccuracy.
- Assists Executive Chef in menu planning, ordering & inventory, planning special events & catering, and other operational tasks.
Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience as a Cook or Chef within the food service industry.
- Two (2)+ years’ experience as a Sous Chef or other kitchen leadership position.
- Minimum (1) year supervisory experience within the food service industry.
- Specific business experience with older adults or in the retirement housing industry preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
