Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operative for Ecommerce within Fuller‘s Griffin Brewery to work with us for two months during our peak season in November and December. The Ecommerce operation covers both the Online Fuller’s Shop and Beer Pronto and is the online hub for our customers looking for Fullers and Asahi products all over Mainland UK and is based at the iconic Griffin Brewery, Chiswick. 

The Ecommerce Warehouse Operative is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely packaging and dispatch of orders to our growing customer base from The Fullers Brewery Online Shop. They will join the eCommerce team and will be expected to work alongside other Warehouse Operatives under the day to day Supervision of the Ecommerce Manager. They will be expected to meet strict time deadlines and ensure that the Ecommerce standards are maintained at the highest level.

This role requires manual handling, long hours of standing and lifting loads up to 23kg as such you should be able to cope with the demands and rewards of a physically demanding role

Key accountabilities and outputs:

  • Ensure the picking and boxing of packaged and loose beers, wines and other products is done in a safe, efficient way meeting the high standards expected
  • Ensure time deadlines within the busy Online shop environment are met, working closely with the team to control the workflow and organisation of the team to ensure all orders are shipped each day
  • Ensure accuracy of each and every order
  • Minimise day to day issues ensuring that they are resolved quickly and to a high standard
  • Ensure that lows and shortages of stock are reported to Line Manager in a timely manner
  • Actively promoting and engaging with new ways of working to improve efficiency and standards
  • Ensure good maintenance of company property and PPE and report any damages to Line Manager in a timely manner
  • Ensure the operational environment is maintained in relation to hygiene and cleanliness
  • Process any returns the same day in a safe and sanitary way
  • This list is not exhaustive, and duties may change from time to time

Experience, competence requirements and personal characteristics:

  • Hands-on and proactive with a positive "can do attitude"
  • Self-motivated with a flexible approach to workload
  • Disciplined approach to work including the ability to work under pressure
  • Keen eye for Health & Safety, reporting all relevant incidents and potential issues through the ALERT system
  • Excellent day-to-day time management, both personally and for your daily work schedule
  • Good level of verbal and written English
  • Physically fit and able to cope with the demands of a physically demanding role with demands such as standing for long periods, lifting and moving products up to 23kg in weight, lifting, bending, reaching above the head, kneeling, crouching, stretching, pushing and pulling product up to 23kg
  • Manual dexterity of both hands and wrists

Ideal background and qualifications:

  • Appreciation for nature of the work, with heavy lifting and physical demands
  • We are looking for a smart and organised individual with a positive attitude who can be an ambassador for Fuller’s
  • This role may suit someone who already has Warehouse, Logistics, Supply Chain or Manufacturing experience

  • Fixed term role for 2 months - November and December
  • The role is a Zero Hours contract
  • Monday – Friday, Rostered between 7am & 3pm/4pm
  • Occasional weekend work expected during exceptionally busy periods e.g Christmas
