Job Description

Position:  Senior Developer – Data Warehouse Architect

Location: Dothan, AL

Full time, permanent position

 

The Data Warehouse Architect plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and continuously optimizing our enterprise data warehouse architecture. Reporting to the Enterprise Data Warehouse & BI Manager, this individual will be responsible for translating business needs into scalable, reliable, and high-performing data solutions.

In this role, you’ll be the strategic and technical lead in defining data models, building robust ETL/ELT pipelines, and ensuring the availability of high-quality data across the enterprise. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders to understand analytics requirements and deliver trusted data assets that power decision-making across all levels of the organization.

 

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in data warehousing, data architecture, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining logical and physical data models.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and/or implementing ETL/ELT processes and data integration strategies using tools such as:
  • Qlik, dbt, Talend, Informatica, SSIS
  • SQL and/or Python for custom integrations and transformations
  • Strong understanding of data governance, MDM, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring and knowledge-sharing within cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with or leading cloud data platform adoption or migration (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Redshift, or BigQuery).
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX).
  • Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines, version control, and DevOps practices in data engineering.
