Arthur Grand Technologies is currently seeking a highly motivated and Skilled Industrial Professional /Mechanical Handling for one of our clients
Position: Industrial Professional /Mechanical Handling
Location: Richland, WA ( (Onsite)
Duration :Long Term Contract
Position Summary
You will be working as part of the Mechanical Handling team designing the areas of material handling equipment, treatment and vitrification systems, and/or supporting utilities. You will be preparing technical reports, studies, procurement documentation, and design documentation, performing calculations using engineering software, and supporting systems. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in mechanical handling design and will be capable of developing design documents and procurement documents, including Specifications, Material Requisitions, Mechanical Handling diagrams, Mechanical Flow diagrams and equipment data sheets, that incorporate the applicable design requirements, including nuclear safety requirements. You will be interfacing and coordinating with other engineering disciplines and the client in the development of the design.
Responsibilities
The primary role of the Senior Mechanical Handling Engineer is to plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work for a global business unit usually in one discipline in a project or staff group.
Must have the ability to work independently, use engineering judgment, and devise new approaches to solving problems.
Perform work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and/or difficult coordination requirements.
Perform work using Standard Application Programs (BSAPs) and appropriate 2-D and 3-D computer-aided design and computer-aided engineering (CAD and CAE) tools.
Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs and staffing requirements for proposals, forecasts and change orders.
Review and disposition of field change notices, non-conformance reports, and condition reports.

Qualifications and Skills
Basic Qualifications
Level 1 - BS degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering from an accredited university or college with 9 years of related experience.
Level 2 - BS degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering from an accredited university or college with 13 years of related experience.
Related experience includes but is not limited to MHD, MFD, MSD, Material Requisitions, Specification, calculations, and datasheets for Mechanical equipment on powerplants, refineries, or chemical/nuclear process facilities
Additional Qualifications
Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
Must be able to obtain a Federal badge for access to the Hanford Site.
Knowledge of current computer applications for engineering and design including appropriate knowledge of CAD (both 2-D and 3-D).
Knowledge and ability to utilize Microsoft office suite of products.
Familiar with regulations and industry codes and standards affecting complex engineering work within discipline.
Understands technical issues and costs related to selection of typical design features within discipline.
Knows how to develop all standard deliverables within discipline.
Familiar with effort required to prepare standard discipline deliverables and knows how to prepare standard engineering budgets and schedules within discipline.
Professional Engineers license (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering.
Previous WTP Experience.
Experience in equipment design analysis in federal or commercial nuclear facilities.
Experience in front end mechanical design and equipment selection for nuclear waste processing, nuclear, or nuclear chemical facilities including cranes, and other material handling equipment.
