Job Description

Your team :

You will strengthen the ARTELIA Industrie Suisse SA team in Montheyr, with the possibility to be based in the Basel region, within a fast-growing industrial engineering environment.

We deliver challenging projects in industrial plants and process industries, both as EPC/turnkey support and on-site technical assistance, across the full project lifecycle: feasibility, engineering, detailed design, execution and commissioning.

To support our growth, we are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer specialized in Foxboro or DeltaV, able to contribute both technically and in the leadership of automation work packages.

 

Your responsibilities :

Automation & Process Control

  • Perform functional analysis and define automation architectures
  • Engineer, configure and optimize Foxboro and/or DeltaV systems
  • Participating in migrations, upgrades and revamping projects
  • Program and commission PLC systems (advantage: Siemens Step7)
  • Interface with third-party DCS platforms when required
  • Preparing FDS, HDS and SDS documentation
  • Execute FAT, SAT as well as IQ/OQ and commissioning activities

 EIA / EMSR Engineering

  • Define control and instrumentation philosophies
  • Verify input data and compliance with applicable standards
  • Contribute to EIA/EMSR architecture design
  • Ensure quality of detailed engineering deliverables
  • Act as technical interface with process, electrical and mechanical teams

Project coordination & client interface (hybrid role)

  • Act as the main technical contact for the client
  • Lead automation / EIA work packages according to your seniority
  • Monitor schedule, costs and progress
  • Propose and present optimized technical solutions
  • Support and mentor junior engineers

On-site activities

  • Assignments at industrial client sites in French-speaking Switzerland and occasionally across Switzerland
  • Participation in commissioning and plant start-up
  • Provide technical support during operation when required

Qualifications

Your profile :

Education

  • Master’s degree or Engineering degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum 8–10 years in industrial automation
  • Proven expertise in Foxboro and/or DeltaV (mandatory in at least one)
  • Experience in the Swiss industrial environment.
  • Experience in chemicals, pharmaceuticals or process industries preferred

Technical skills

  • Strong knowledge of DCS systems (Foxboro and/or DeltaV)
  • Good PLC programming skills
  • Knowledge of Siemens Step7: asset
  • Solid background in EMSR / EIA and instrumentation
  • GMP knowledge: plus

Languages

  • French or German: professional proficiency preferred
  • English: professional working level required
