To assist in developing strategies for hiring and retaining qualified employees.
Coaches managers on hiring, interviewing and selecting employees.
Generate HR metrics for recruiting efforts; Assist in development of staffing strategies to help recruit qualified employees and establish Novartis as an employer of choice.
Strategies may include web ads, external recruiters, journals, etc. (Partner with managers to understand existing and future needs.)
Make hiring, staffing, salary and employment level recommendations.
Responsible for handling all recruiting related administrative tasks (arranging candidate travel and related activities for candidates, creating and communicating interview agendas, scheduling of all interviews, etc.)
Assist in college relations & recruiting programs at targeted schools.
Network with area HR and industry professionals to develop referral network.
Represent Novartis at job fairs and other professional meeting.
Ensure posting all appropriate job openings according to job posting policy and AAP guidelines).
Generate HR metrics for manager.
Coordinate with staffing team members, consultants and internal staff to generate appropriate AAP reports.
Ensure compliance with plan including applicant flow data, etc.
Ensure Relocation program is followed. Assist in resolving issues with vendor and employee when necessary.
May participate in other HR projects as requested.
Occasional travel to regional meetings and job fairs may be required.
Qualifications
Skills:
Industry experience a must, and Manufacturing experience a plus.
10+ years recruiting experience in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Establish and streamline hiring process experience helpful.
Demonstrated successful partnerships.
Results-oriented individual who can operate with little or no supervision.
Education:
B.A. in Business, or equivalent work experience
