Job Description

Conduct testing and data collection, write-ups, and reviews necessary to support the release of raw materials, in-process samples, and packaging components.

• Conduct/support laboratory investigations, and special analytical projects as assigned.

• Complete and participate in training activities which maintain or improve skill sets and practices.

• Actively work in a team environment and participate in natural work groups and increase productivity.

Assist with revision or creation of SOPs Assist with method implementation and/or method transfer activities

 

The Quality Control (QC) Analyst in the Analytical/Incoming Laboratory is responsible to conduct analysis of raw and in-process materials and packaging components as required to support contact lens production. The associated tasks are required to be performed according to approved methods and procedures in compliance with cGMP, FDA regulations and Corporate Quality Policies.

Skills:

Perform work in a manner that fosters team success and commitment to achieving site and team goals Demonstrated knowledge of Analytical Chemistry; preferred experience in at least two of the following: GC, HPLC, UV-VIS, FTIR, titrations, pipetting and dilutions, etc.

• Computer Skills with proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

• Highly motivated, goal orientated achiever with ability to prioritize and organize own work semi-independently.

• Excellent problem solving skills including experience in technical writing Proficiency with written and spoken English.

• Understanding of Lean concepts.

• Excellent organization and teamwork skills

 Position requires set shift schedule times Monday-Friday with rotating weekend work.

(Shift schedules are subject to change based off of business needs)


Qualifications

 Education: 

AS degree plus 2-5 years relevant experience (or BS plus 0-2 years) in medical device or pharmaceutical industry manufacturing environment. 

Associate of Science (AS) degree in Chemistry or related field from an accredited college or university.

Preferred Level: Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university.
