Safety Consultant, Senior provides expert consultation to Company management and/or the public by providing direction and guidance in the areas of program and policy development.  Is the coordinating point for policy interpretation, and for the administration of highly visible, high-risk industrial hygiene and safety programs.  Provides leadership and guidance to the Safety Department in focusing efforts toward the accomplishment of its mission.  Assists all areas of the Company in meeting individual industrial hygiene and safety CSI's.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational or Industrial Safety, Loss Control Risk Management or Business Administration
  • and eight (8) years extensive professional industrial hygiene and safety related experience
  • OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience. 
  • Knowledge of industrial hygiene industry standards, Federal, State and Local industrial hygiene and safety regulations with a high level of technical and regulatory experience in OSHA, ASTM, AIHA, ARS, FAA, NESC and other applicable codes, ordinances and statutes. 
  • Understanding of laboratory, industrial, and experimental processes. 
  • In-depth experience developing, administering and implementing complex industrial hygiene and safety programs. 
  • Experience in professional committees and organizations through participation that increases safety awareness and compliance. 
  • Strong oral, interpersonal and written communication skills. 
  • Certification as an Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is highly desired.
