Job Description
Who You’ll Work With
As a Senior Data Engineer on the BI team for Manufacturing, Software, and Hardware Engineering, you will collaborate on:
- Designing and optimizing data and reporting applications to ensure efficient data service delivery.
- Partnering with manufacturing teams to address security and data requirements.
- Managing SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, and database administration.
- Working with BigQuery and Microsoft Fabric for data storage and processing.
- Developing and maintaining data pipelines, ETLs, data processing workflows, APIs, and data migration using Python and other programming languages.
- Leveraging business intelligence tools such as Sisense and Power BI for reporting and analytics.
- Integrating and processing non-relational data sources, including flat files, Excel, JSON, and APIs.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and optimize data and reporting applications to ensure seamless data service delivery.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to meet security and data governance requirements.
- Manage and maintain SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, and database administration.
- Work with BigQuery and Microsoft Fabric for data storage, processing, and analytics.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETLs, data processing workflows, APIs, and data migration using Python and other programming languages.
- Utilize BI tools such as Sisense and Power BI to build interactive dashboards and reports.
- Process and integrate non-relational data sources, including flat files, Excel, JSON, and APIs.
- Document implementations, configurations, and support requirements for data applications.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, design patterns, and methodologies to enhance data solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure data accuracy and performance.
Qualifications
Required:
- 4+ years of experience in SQL Server, T-SQL, and database query optimization.
- 2+ years of experience with Python, Java, C#, or a similar programming language.
- Strong expertise in system analysis, relational data modeling, and data integration.
- Experience with ETL processes, data pipeline development, and data migration strategies.
- Familiarity with BI tools like Sisense, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in working with non-relational data sources, including flat files, Excel, JSON, and APIs.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and work independently.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
Preferred:
- Experience working with manufacturing data.
- Experience with Sisense BI tools and advanced Power BI capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery and Microsoft Fabric for data processing and analytics.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
