Who You’ll Work With
When you join Arista as part of the Sales Engineering team, you're not just stepping into a role; you're becoming part of a team of industry experts and technical leaders. Typically reporting to the Regional Engineering Manager, you'll be working alongside some of the most skilled field engineers in the industry. Our team prides itself on not just understanding the technology but also the business impact and aligning our solutions with the larger goals of our clients. In collaboration with our Product Management and Software Development teams, you will play a pivotal role in steering product developments, offerings, and strategic direction to best serve our customers and prospects. Supported by the expertise of our world class Arista TAC, cutting-edge proof-of-concept resources, and support of the executive team, you are well-positioned to lead and innovate within the industry.
What You’ll Do
The Arista Partner SE serves as a technology adviser to both prospective partnerships.
- Display a strong commitment to develop and maintain long-term partner relationships.
- Understanding partner requirements, determining the best solutions and effectively communicating the value proposition of those solutions are critical skills.
- Delivering high-quality demonstrations of the Arista portfolio of products and presenting case studies in support of the indirect sales opportunity is a key requirement.
- Working in partnership with our Channel Development Managers to help prospective partners (e.g. MSPs and VARs) determine the best technology solutions to meet their customers’ business needs in the areas of data, networks, and security.
- With the direction of the Channel Development Manager, contribute to a prospective partner’s requests for a proposal to sell the Arista portfolio of products.
- Make product recommendations and educate potential partners on how the Arista technology will provide business and technical value to their customers.
- While the Channel Development Manager works through contract terms, the Pre-sales Engineer makes product recommendations and educates potential partners on how the Arista technology will provide business and technical value to their customers.
Qualifications
- BS/CS/CE technical degree preferred Network Industry Certification preferred (e.g. CCNP or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3+ years of L2/L3 networking design and implementation experience with a focus on Campus, Security, and Wifi solutions.
- Demonstrated work experience as either a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales SE, or Network Consulting Engineer preferred
- Ability to deliver technical presentations and demos.
- Strong knowledge in the following areas: Ethernet, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, Spanning Tree, QoS
- Good understanding of the competitor technology landscape - Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet
- Expert-level knowledge of industry-standard CLI
- Familiarity with building network automation (Python and/or Ansible).
- Ability to write white papers a plus
- Required to continually refresh their training to stay current with evolving technologies.
