Tier 2 Field Technician
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tier 2 Field Technician to join our dynamic IT support team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing advanced technical support, on-site client services, and contribute to our company's commitment to exceptional IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site technical support and troubleshooting for client networks, systems, and infrastructure
- Respond to and resolve complex technical issues escalated from Tier 1 support
- Perform hardware and software installations, upgrades, and configurations
- Manage client site visits 2-3 times per week, coordinating with internal dispatch team
- Prepare detailed technical documentation and service reports
- Diagnose and resolve network, server, and workstation problems
- Provide remote and on-site support for various client environments
- Assist in developing and implementing technical solutions
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a managed service environment
- Advanced troubleshooting skills across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms
- Strong understanding of networking principles and hardware infrastructure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Professional certifications preferred (A+, Network+, Microsoft MCSA)
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in remote desktop support tools
- Experience with network diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with cloud services (Azure, AWS)
- Hands-on experience with Office 365 and Google Workspace
- Virtualization technologies
- Basic scripting and automation skills
