Job Description

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a full of potential and reliable Tendering Engineer - E&I to join our top qualified and knowledgeable team in Dubai, UAE

What you will need to do:

  • Review and analyse project design documents to identify discrepancies or potential challenges early in the project lifecycle. 

  • Prepare and manage comprehensive registers for tie-in materials to ensure all parts are accounted for and ready ahead of the execution timeline. 

  • Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors by providing accurate technical inputs for quantity take-offs, material take-offs, and variation order submissions. 

  • Prepare detailed method statements that define safe, efficient, and compliant on-site execution procedures aligned with project standards and best practices. 

  • Prepare and submit Material Approval Requests (MARs), ensuring strict adherence to technical specifications and approved vendor lists. 

  • Respond promptly and effectively to Technical Queries (TQs) from construction, procurement, vendors, and clients, providing well-supported technical solutions. 

  • Support the spooling team by reviewing weld map drawings to ensure spool configurations are optimized for transport and installation, and accurately reflect the routing, orientation, and dimensions specified in the isometric drawings. 

  • Manage revisions of isometric drawings to minimize unnecessary changes and material waste, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project specifications. 

  • Conduct thorough analyses comparing Material Take-Offs (MTOs) against placed orders to confirm accuracy in quantities and quality standards. 

  • Prepare detailed progress reports covering all stages from work package issuance to spool fabrication and erection, incorporating additional data as requested by management. 

  • Identify special services or materials needed for piping and mechanical systems; prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), methods of measurement, Request for Quotations (RFQs), and initiate purchase requests accordingly. 

  • Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team to facilitate smooth project execution. 

What you will need to have:

  • Diploma or relevant qualification in Engineering (Mechanical)
  • Minimum 8 years of Quantity Surveying experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
  • Strong knowledge of piping materials commonly used in oil and gas projects.
  • Proficient in interpreting isometric drawings, P&IDs, painting specifications, insulation specification, and other piping-related technical documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
  • Effective communication and technical reporting
  • Team collaboration and cross-discipline coordination
  • Adaptability in fast-paced project environments
  • Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Full Professional Proficiency in English language
