Job Description

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a reliable and highly motivated Electrical QC Engineer to join our top-qualified and knowledgeable Quality team for one of our major projects in Egypt.

What you will need to do:

  • Review project technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs to identify applicable quality criteria, engineering requirements, and testing requirements related to Electrical and Instrumentation works.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of quality documentation, including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and inspection procedures.
  • Monitor all phases and processes related to Electrical and Instrumentation works, including procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Ensure the proper implementation of approved Method Statements and ITPs and maintain all required quality records.
  • Manage and coordinate inspection and testing activities for Electrical and Instrumentation works.
  • Monitor the close-out of punch lists and ensure that measuring and testing instruments are properly calibrated.
  • Coordinate with third-party testing and inspection agencies as required.
  • Identify and follow up on non-conformances, raise NCRs when required, and monitor corrective actions through close-out.
  • Attend and witness Client inspections and testing activities and coordinate the close-out of outstanding quality issues.
  • Support quality audits of subcontractors and suppliers and assist in the preparation of final quality documentation and system commissioning.

 

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in Quality Control of Electrical systems, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong experience in electrical inspection, testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
  • Solid knowledge of ITPs, Method Statements, NCRs, quality records, and inspection procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable international codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and IEC.
  • Good understanding of Electrical and Instrumentation works and relevant testing requirements.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Very good command of English.
