Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic, commercially driven, and forward-thinking Business Development Manager to accelerate the growth of our Energy Business Unit, supporting both our established Oil & Gas Division and our rapidly expanding Energy Transition and Environmental Projects initiatives.
Based in Athens, this role offers the opportunity to work in a truly international environment, collaborate with global stakeholders, and play a key role in delivering sustainable energy solutions across diverse markets.
Role Summary
As part of the Business Development team, you will help identify and transform strategic opportunities into successful projects across Energy Transition, Environmental Projects, and Oil & Gas sectors. From market analysis and client engagement to tendering and commercial negotiations, you will contribute directly to the company’s long-term growth and global market presence.

What you will need to do:
- As a member of the Business Development Department, you will be reporting directly to the Business Development Director and indirectly to the COO of Energy and Environment.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities in the areas of Energy Transition and Environmental Projects, including alternative fuels, decarbonization, energy storage, and HVDC systems.
- Support the development and execution of the Energy Transition business development strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Support the identification and development of selected business opportunities related to Oil & Gas in close coordination with relevant Division leadership.
- Identify and develop new regions, markets as well as Clients in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Actively participate in tender preparation processes, including opportunity qualification, bid strategy development, and commercial negotiations.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activities to identify emerging opportunities and risks.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Project, Division, and Department leaders across the Group to ensure seamless commercial-to-execution handover.
- Contribute to the preparation of business plans, budgets, and forecasts related to Energy Transition initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- 15 to 20 years of total working experience in Oil & Gas and Energy Transition. More specifically, ideal experience includes hands-on operational experience in at least one project execution role (e.g. Project Engineering, Project Management, Construction, Operations etc.) followed by progressive experience in Sales, Business Development, or Commercial leadership roles.
- Proven experience in business development, commercial management, or tendering activities within large-scale Energy projects.
- Strong understanding of Energy World (O&G / Energy Transition /Environment) technologies and market dynamics, including decarbonization, alternative fuels, energy storage, and power transmission systems, Data Centers.
- Solid commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate opportunities, build value propositions, and support deal structuring.
- Experience in working within a multinational corporate environment; clear understanding of corporate governance and approval processes.
- Good understanding of engineering and tender development processes.
- Solid knowledge of project development and bid management principles.
- Multilingual. Fluency in English (verbal and written).
- High mobility and willingness to travel across the Group’s countries of operation.
What is nice to have:
- BSc in Chemical Engineering.
- Master’s in Business Administration (MBA).
- Exposure in EPC/EPCM market is highly appreciated.
- Experience with large-scale Oil & Gas and Energy Transition projects in countries similar to our operations (MENA / Europe rope and Former Russian Territory experience is highly advantageous).

- Are proactive, results-driven, and persistent in pursuing and closing opportunities, while maintaining a strong sense of execution feasibility and risk awareness.
- Possess strong communication and influencing skills, able to work effectively across functions, disciplines, and cultures.
