Archirodon has been awarded a major Oil & Gas EPC project in UAE, and is currently building a team of experienced Lead Engineers, who will be based in our UAE office and lead the multidiscipline Engineering of the project.

Project includes the detailed engineering and design, quality assurance and control, procurement/supply, interface management, construction/installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning/start-up of Hydrocarbon & non-Hydrocarbon systems and management including all works required for the job completion.  The main objective of this brownfield project is to increase the production handling capacity by adding a new Production Train and associated facilities at an existing Central Degassing Station and a new gas lift compressor train at another existing Central Degassing Station.

Role Summary:

  • Execute detailed engineering activities for rotating equipment in Oil & Gas EPC projects with strong focus on centrifugal compressors
  • Prepare and review technical deliverables including datasheets, specifications, material requisitions, calculations, and engineering documents
  • Perform selection, sizing, and technical evaluation of centrifugal compressors based on process and project requirements
  • Review vendor drawings, performance curves, datasheets, and ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards
  • Support technical bid evaluations (TBE), vendor clarifications, and participate in technical discussions with suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with international standards such as API 617, API 614, ASME, and ISO requirements
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including process, piping, instrumentation, and procurement for smooth project execution
  • Track engineering progress, identify technical risks, and support timely resolution of issues
  •   Interface with vendors for document review, technical queries, and ensure alignment with project requirements
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and maintain quality of engineering deliverables
  • Provide technical support during construction and commissioning, including troubleshooting of rotating equipment
  • Work independently as a senior technical contributor while supporting Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager in project delivery
  • Guide and support junior engineers on technical matters without direct team management responsibility
  • What you will need to have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Minimum 12–15 years of experience in HVAC design within EPC projects

  • Strong experience in Oil & Gas, Offshore, Marine, or Industrial projects

  • Proven expertise in rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors (including centrifugal compressors), turbines, and packages

  • Hands-on experience in equipment sizing, selection, performance calculations, and preparation/review of datasheet.

  • Thorough knowledge of relevant international standards such as API (610, 617, 618), ISO, and project specifications

  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools related to rotating equipment, along with working knowledge of AutoCAD

  • Experience working with 3D design tools such as PDMS / E3D

  • Strong experience in reviewing vendor technical bids, drawings, and datasheets, including participation in technical bid evaluations

  • Ability to coordinate effectively with multi-disciplinary engineering teams including piping, process, electrical, and instrumentation

  • Experience in supporting procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities

  • Willingness to attend site visits and provide technical support whenever required

  • Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken)

  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks within tight project schedules
