Job Description

  • The Procurement Category Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for specific categories of materials and/or services in cooperation with the Procurement Category Manager.
  • Perform rigorous analysis of internal company data and external market researched data, while working with the Procurement Category Manager and the Technical Experts to develop strategies containing objectives, savings hypotheses, and other targets.
  • Execute the full procurement cycle for market engagement of the shortlisted category bidders: produce forecasts of potential future spends, prepare Invitations to Bid and float them to the selected bidders, perform bid reviews and carry out clarifications to minimize risks, perform comparison statements, apply appropriate criteria for scoring of bid packages.
  • Prepare the proposed Category Strategy Recommendations for Management approval including the internal Change Management Plans and Work Instructions for implementation of the Category within the existing company environment
  • Roll out the frame agreement, perform troubleshooting and apply the planned monitoring schemes.
  • Produce Key Performance Indicators to allow continuous monitoring and assessment of the procurement strategy defined. Apply adjustments.
  • Coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Adhere to procurement guidelines and work in full compliance with approved procedures, using the available procurement tools and in accordance with Archirodon IMS System.

Qualifications

  • BSc Civil Engineering University Degree in a relevant field
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Good analytical skills: data analysis, identification and presentation of trends and results, and preparation of strategies
  • Fluency in the English language (oral and written)
  • Very good communication and cooperation skills
  • Good knowledge of ERP software
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as Procurement Engineer / Project Controls Engineer / Tender Engineer / Site Engineer / Design Engineer
  • Previous experience in the Construction Industry and knowledge of construction materials.
