Job Description

  • Develop and implement loss prevention strategies and programs to mitigate risks associated with oil and gas operations.
  • Conduct hazard assessments, risk analysis, and audits to identify potential safety hazards and develop appropriate controls.
  • Review and approve design plans, specifications, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, particularly ADNOC guidelines.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams during the design, construction, and operation phases to ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and breaches of safety protocols to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to raise awareness of safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Keep abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to continuously improve loss prevention practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in loss prevention engineering within the oil and gas industry.
  • ADNOC approval and CICPA certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment techniques, process safety management, and relevant industry standards (e.g., API, NFPA).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and assess potential safety hazards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful loss prevention programs and initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and offshore locations as required.
