Job Description

We are currently seeking a dynamic Interface Engineer to join our team. The Interface Engineer will play a pivotal role in coordinating and managing interfaces between different disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain interface management plans to identify, track, and resolve interfaces between various project components, disciplines, and stakeholders.
  2. Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to define interface requirements, specifications, and deliverables.
  3. Conduct regular interface meetings and workshops to facilitate communication, alignment, and resolution of interface issues and conflicts.
  4. Monitor and track interface deliverables, milestones, and dependencies to ensure timely resolution and mitigate schedule risks.
  5. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather input, provide updates, and address concerns related to interface management.
  6. Review engineering drawings, documents, and specifications to verify compliance with interface requirements and standards.
  7. Identify and escalate interface-related risks, challenges, and opportunities to project leadership and stakeholders for timely resolution and decision-making.
  8. Coordinate with project controls team to integrate interface activities into project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
  9. Support the development of lessons learned and best practices for interface management, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in interface management, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing interfaces on large-scale projects, including upstream and downstream facilities.
  • Strong understanding of engineering disciplines, project management principles, and interface management tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations related to interface management.
