Job Description

We, ARCHIRODON Engineering Department (ENG), are constantly growing and are currently looking for senior engineers to assist our Engineering Management efforts for international projects around the globe.

You will be responsible for ensuring under the line of command of Project Engineering Manager (PEM) the safety, timely completion, and overall excellence of the Engineering operations by coordinating engineering activities of the ENG disciplines and Engineering Subcontractor and assisting PEM in the management of the interfaces with Client, Engineering Subcontractor, Vendors, etc. as required.

What you will need to do:

  • Be responsible for the execution of the Engineering Execution Plan for scope, deliverables, tools, resources, milestones, engineering and overall project schedule, engineering risk register, engineering strategy, engineering communication plan, etc. in accordance with Contract requirements.
  • Assist PEM in the development of the Project risks register, identifying risks and opportunities and participating in the Project risk review meeting as required.
  • Coordinate and liaise with the Employer and his PMC as well as other design stakeholders (meetings, workshops, etc.)
  • Participate in internal meetings and meetings with Client, PMT and 3rd parties, including Constructability Reviews, Design Reviews, Progress Review Meetings, Coordination Meetings etc. as instructed by PEM.  Keeps and consolidates with involved parties or contributes, depending on the case, in the consolidation of the MOM.   
  • Keep communication and coordination procedure (as per EEP and PEP) and ensures that this is followed by all parties. 
  • Ensure proper and prompt flow of information to/from all parties and applies remedial debottlenecking or improvement actions, escalating issues for resolution to PEM as required. 
  • Ensure that Client's instructions/requests/comments on the documentation are transmitted without delay, to all concerned stakeholders, and checks that the necessary actions to comply with these are taken. 
  • Assist in the preparation of progress reports, follows, and jointly reviews with PEM the progress of the Project, and ensures that corrective measures are applied when quality, cost of works or schedule are compromised.
  • Support ENG and Engineering Subcontractors in the process of reviews and approvals from the Employer and his PMC.
  • Resolve engineering issues or properly escalates them to the Project Manager/PEM and Engineering Director
  • Be responsible for Engineering change management during project execution

What you will need to have:

 

  • BEng or equivalent in Engineering and an MSc or equivalent in relevant knowledge areas
  • Minimum seven (7) years of design experience in the EPC industry in works related to Archirodon’s Core Businesses, including at least three (3) years in Project Engineering Management in an international / multicultural environment
  • During execution of the EPC Project reporting directly to the Project Engineering Manager and interacting directly with the Project Team, the Client, his PMC and other project stakeholders, managing / coordinating the Engineering Subcontractors, etc.  Ability to be present at PHO during Engineering development is a mandatory prerequisite.
  • Broad technical competence, excellence and strong technical background
  • Must have very good knowledge of applicable international codes & standards, international design guidelines & recommendations; specific prior experience in KSA projects, legislation, and Oil & Gas Arabian Gulf Operator (ARAMCO, ADNOC etc.) standards would be a definite advantage
  • Experience in Environmental regulatory requirements (local, international), review and understanding of local Environmental Laws would be a definite advantage.
  • Experience in management and administration of Engineering Contracts
  • Excellent command (written and oral) of English language is mandatory
  • Good command (written and oral) of the French language would be a definite advantage
  • Proficiency in Project Management software (e.g., Primavera) is highly desirable
  • Experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM) Management would be a definite advantage
