Job Description

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Engineer to join our knowledgeable Supply Chain team in our Athens Office.

Role summary:

 Interfacing with global vendors and across departments/divisions, you will be working within our international Supply Chain team being responsible both for Operations Project materials, works and services to ensure all deliverables are delivered as per the Procurement Plan requirements (Timeline, Pricing, Documentation).

You will ensure that all materials, works and services are delivered on time, on cost and on quality, ultimately contributing to the business efficiency and optimization.

 What you will need to do:

  •  Support assigned packages, source and propose the Bidders from registered Company approved vendor list and based on approved Procurement strategy within the Project.
  • Ensure that all Supplier Pre-Assessment is done in compliance with the procedure to improve the performance of company/project in Supplier selection.
  • Coordinate with all relevant in-house departments to ensure all requirements are included in the bidding documents – including flow down - and prepare/issue the RFQ to the suppliers of the Bidders lists.
  • Challenge requirements according suppliers market and Project requirements.
  • Maintain the Project Procurement Plan up to date.
  • Interface with the technical responsible and lead all technical / commercial / contractual clarifications with the suppliers.
  • Perform commercial and contractual analysis, schedule evaluation of bids and incorporate technical evaluation from Engineering/Project Control or E/M, QA, QC & HSE.
  • Finalize the Comparison Statement (CS) and make recommendations only for technically acceptable solutions with proper and documented technical-commercial and evaluation report and seek necessary approval.
  • Highlight any discrepancies in Procurement processes, identify related risks and propose actions to minimize such risk.
  • Prepare and obtain signature of the Purchase Order or Contract according authorization matrix
  • Participate to Kick off Meetings with Suppliers, ensuring that all PO terms and obligations are clearly explained and understood.
  • Review all commercial and contractual correspondence and take necessary actions as required. Maintain the files for each Purchase Order in an orderly fashion.
  • Coordinate with the Expediting, Quality Control and Logistic team throughout the post award to ensure a timely delivery.

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree in Supply Chain or Logistics will be highly welcomed
  • Minimum seven (7) years of work experience in tendering, procurement or site engineering role.
  • Significant previous projects exposure. If you have experience in sizeable, international environment the better!
  • Mobility for assignment overseas
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimum supervision and very short deadline
  • Good contractual knowledge
  • Good knowledge of ERP’s software
  • Excellent command in English (oral and written)

 What it nice to have:

  • Marine or/and Energy or/and Renewables sector experience
  • Regional experience or awareness of Middle East or/and North Africa
